         UTILITY:


            FITPLOT                RESIZES THE PLOT BASED ON NODES

            GET_DIMS               PROMPTS FOR THE PARAMETER FILE NAME (.DES) AND
                                   LOADS THE DATA

            PICK_NOD               GENERATES A NEW SUBSET of NODES FROM THE
                                   DEFINED NODE SET.  THE "PICKER BOX"
                                   IS DISPLAYED TO SELECT THE METHOD OF NODE
                                   SELECTION.

            PICK_ELE               GENERATES A NEW SUBSET of ELEMENTS FROM THE
                                   DEFINED NODE SET.  THE "PICKER BOX"
                                   IS DISPLAYED TO SELECT THE METHOD OF ELEMENT
                                   SELECTION.

            SHOMODEL               SELECTS THE IRON AND MAGNETS NAD PLOTS WITH
                                   MATERIAL NUMBERS ON

            SHOWIND                SELECTS WINDING AND STATOR IRON AND PLOTS

            SHOSOLID               SELECTS ALL SOLID96 ELEMENTS AND PLOTS

            PLT_FORM               PLOTS CURRENT FORM TO BE USED IN SPECFYING
                                   THE CURRENT TO THE WINDING


         GEOMETRY GENERATION:

            BUILD3D                BUILDS COMPLETE 3D MODEL FROM THE PARAMETER FILE
                                   WHICH IS PROMPTED TO THE USER (MUST BE ENCLOSED
                                   IN SINGLE QUOTES)

            PMROTOR                BUILDS 2d PM ROTOR. PARAMETERS MUST
                                   ALREADY BE LOADED FROM THE PARAMETER FILE


            R_SLOT                 GENERATES A 2d rectanular slotted STATOR.
                                   PARAMETERS MUST ALREADY BE LOADED FROM
                                   THE PARAMETER FILE


            STATOR                 GENERATES A 2d uniform tooth shank STATOR.
                                   PARAMETERS MUST ALREADY BE LOADED FROM
                                   THE PARAMETER FILE

            WINDING                Builds the winding for 2D or 3D models.
                                   A winding file is required.  An
                                   example winding file is mach2.wnd
                                   The winding file extention must be .wnd.
                                   The macro b_wndsc.mac contains definitions
                                   of the input arguments.

            DELE_WND                DELETES WINDING DATA, SO THAT CURRENTS CANNOT
                                    APPLIED



          BOUNDARY CONDITIONS:


            EVEN_BC                APPLIES EVEN PERIODIC BOUNDARY CONDITIONS
                                   TO THE SIDE OF THE MODEL  (USED FOR EVEN
                                   NUMBER OF POLES). THIS MUST BE USED PRIOR
                                   TO USING THE <ROTATE> TOOLBAR ITEM.


            ROTATE                 ROTATES THE ROTOR AND CONNECTS IT TO THE
                                   STATOR MODEL.  User is prompted for the angle
                                   of rotation, which is a mechanical angle, measured
                                   from the +X axis in a CCW direction.


            LOAD                   APPLIES THE CURRENTS TO THE STATOR. PHASE
                                   DEFINITION IS CONTAINED IN THE PARAMETER FILE
                                   (see <HOW_TO> ).  User is prompted for the
                                   ELECTRICAL ANGLE AND PEAK AMPERAGE

         SOLUTION:

            SOLUTION               PERFORMS  a single SOLUTION

            SOLVE_ROT              Generates a series of solutions
                                   using the winding/current data.
                                   Forces are saved for a subsequent
                                   mechanical transient analysis.
                                   User is prompted for starting mechanical
                                   angle, ending mechanical angle, number
                                   of solutions and the peak amperage.

         POST PROCESSING:

            TORQUE                 COMPUTES TORQUE IN THE AIR GAP
                                   AND DATA FOR THE B_RADIAL AND FOURIE ANALYSIS
                                   OF THE AIR GAP FLUX DENSITY

            MUR                   COMPUTES MUR FOR THE MODEL

           _MMF                    ONCE A PATH HAS BEEN DEFINED, THIS COMPUTES THE
                                   MMF FOR THE DEFINED PATH

            B_VECTOR               PLOTS FLUX DENSITY VECTOR


            H_VECTOR               PLOTS Field Intensity VECTOR
